Email Troubleshooting

Sometimes, you may not receive an email you were expecting. While your administrator can assess the sender's side of an email transaction, there are a few things as an email recipient you'll want to check out on your end.

Junk Mail / Spam Folder

First, check your junk folder, and any email folders you have set up. If you find the email you're looking for in these folders, you'll want to learn how to mark these emails "Not Spam". Here are some links to help:

Junk Mail on Outlook

Junk Mail on Gmail

Junk Mail on Apple Mail

Junk Mail on Thunderbird

Account Email Settings

If you are able to sign into your account on this site, check your email setting preferences to confirm you're not unsubscribed from non-essential emails. You can access your email preferences by selecting your profile picture in the top right, then selecting "My Site Preferences". From here, you can toggle what kinds of emails you'll allow being sent to your email address.

Whitelist / Safe Senders

Finally, you'll want to add senders to your "whitelist" or "Safe Senders list". These are senders that you're signaling to your mail client are not a threat, and you're actively looking for. Check your email application help file for instructions on how to do this.
